7-2-45 Dear Dave, I rec'd. the Scuttlebutt today and also your swell letter which I was very glad to get. Shortly after I wrote you about the folks at Garden City I had a nice letter from Aunt Mayme. She writes now & then and that was the first time I had heard in a long time and then Marguerite writes maybe once a year. I can tell from Aunt Mayme's letter that she is slipping as she rather gets things tangled up once in awhile. Everything out here is just about the same as usual as there isn't much news. I am right
