40 Suffield Ave. San Anselmo, Calif. [ca. July 16] 1945 Dear Dave, Just a line to let you know of a change of address. Still have the same job - driving transports across the big blue. There is so much water out there it amazes me every time we hit an island to land on. Cargo consists mostly of mail and blood going out and mail and patients coming back to the States. Went in to Okinawa the last two times out and hope to get into Manila one of these days. It must be like old times with so many of the kids home from Europe, and some of them coming home to stay. Have been trying to get out too, but so far all they've done about it is punch my ticket. May be in "46" they'll let me out! Thanks again to all the Scuttlebutt staff for the swell work they are doing. Friend, Bill Walker [Lt. William Walker]
