22 July, 1945 Ipswich, Suffolk Dear Dave, Has been some time since I last wrote I believe. We have been having a sports carnival here on the field for the last three days between the War Wearies (service Group) and the Bronze Stars (fighter Group). The Fighter Group is so far ahead that it is pityfull. Every sport from baseball to tug-of-war. There are more women wandering around here on the base today than there are at the Red Cross dances, and that is quite a few. Dave, just between you and I could you send me
