July 29, 1945 Dear Dave:~ Have intended to write you before this and extend my appreciation to you and all that make the Scuttlebutt possible. It sure is nice to get the news from all the boys and home. Please note my new address. I am now located in Guam. It is just one degree cooler than Hades at the present time, but aside from the weather not bad at all. Had the good fortune while on Oahu to see many from home. Among others, I saw Bus Westermark, Roger Lance, Raymond Dayton, George Means, Don Whitlatch, Walt and Boomie Jungbluth, and Don Minnick. Sure was nice to see them as there is nothing like seeing someone from the old city. Tell Bill hello, and that I sure would like to be playing him a game of golf. Keep the course in good shape as I want to dig a four divots when I get back. Charles M. Barclay Best wishes to you all Sincerely, Chop [Charles M. Barclay]
