July 29, 1945 France Dear Dave, Well, I'm finally getting around to writing to you after so long a time. I am still getting Scuttlebutt & am enjoying it as much as ever. It really tickles me to hear about the boys home on furlough & especially those receiving discharges. It makes me feel as tho the rest of our numbers will come up eventually. Washington should gradually work back to normal from now on & that's what I want to see. My address is still the same Dave, but it will probably change soon & I
