January 27 1918 Dear Sister I have received two letters one dated Nov 22 from you and enclosing a letter from Aunt Anna and another one dated Dec 14 telling about the big fire I suppose Milton is about done in the auto business isnt he. I was glad to hear of Shorks trip to Chicago. We have moved from the old chateau again and are now living in a find place some of the fellows are sleeping in barns but we have it good in fact I have been lucky ever since Ive been in this country I have always been in a room with a fire while lots of the Co. have been sleeping in haymows or worse. We are on the sunny side of a big hill with a lake in the valley
