We have some wonderful artillery men behind us and lots of good support. I knew the gov't had the R.R. but had not heard of the flour and sugar mills being taken over. I have not received your two boxes yet but expect I will in a very few days Today has been a pretty good day sunshine and lots of aeroplanes and now and then an observation balloon but fairly quiet except for a few heavy shells and not and then a gas alarm. I can talk French pretty good or rather pretty bad. Altho Im afraid I couldnt do much dancing with any wooden shoes I seen a shoemaker last week making wooden shoes and say I believe Ill start a factory when I come back as it doesnt require much capital and looks easy. War is a wonderful game after you get used to it a little it scares you good at first but
