this [crossed-out writing] I'll try and do better next time. I recieved two Globes and one Bee from Dot and they were sure welcomed, I gave them to Ferguson when I had read them. And he is improving his mind now reading about the lives of great men of Dana and vicinity. Well I will close for now and go to bed lots of love to you ("all crossed out). And Dad and the kids. Pvt.
