Apr 25 Dearest Mother For the last three or four days I have been intending to write each evening but one night we moved and the next night I was too dogged tired and last night I sat up late seeing Pat Hall off he goes back to do something to our baggage I dont know what it is but I have charge of supplies while he is gone so I am going to write tonight before something turns up again. The war service chevron for six months service in the zone of Advance are just commencing to appear The middle of June will find me with one I will have been here 6 mos then It has passed rather quickly for me anyhow. I think I have eaten enough stew to float a ship and walked about 8 times across France in that wee six months. The longer
