May 16 1918 Dear Sister Your letter of Apr 21 just received and am going to answer at once so you cant have any kick coming about my not answering them I know I have been pretty slow answering some of your letters and I havent written to Dad or Dot for a devil of a while but Im gonna improve from now on. Of course Im in the best of health still supporting a healthy appetite and we had corned millet soup tonight so right now I feel like fighting for democracy or for pretty near anything if they furnish board I dont care about the room I have a good room the tile roof is scattered over the whole town and the windows
