1918 From Harvey Wertz ON ACTIVE SERVICE WITH THE AMERICAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCES Oct 23 191 Dear Dad Have just received a christams pkg slip so I'll send it to you if it gets there in time all right and if it dont [illegible] hand back thats all. We are still at it of course chasing Fritz. Have been busy issuing blankets and new clothes the last couple days. Received the money all O.K. and now have lots of money. Have been unable to do anything about my allotment as the Co. clerk has us blanks the whole Co is in the same fix as I am.
