Sept. 12, 1945 Dear Dave, I received some wonderful news. Some news that many a fellow would like to hear & I hope they hear soon. Yes, it's the word to get ready for the long journey home. I expect to leave here in a few days so please cancel the "Scuttlebutt". I sure have enjoyed it immensely. Cold weather plus the rainy season has set in here now. It sure is a long way from the name "Sunny Italy" now. Many thanks for all the news + & the wonderful job you are doing in keeping us boys up on the later developments in & around Washington. Be seeing you soon. Don [Cpl. Don Kiesey]
