U.S.S. [Tallas?] Sept. 20, 1945. Dear Mr. Elder, I should have written about ten days ago, but I hardly had time to get my gear together - not to mention writing letters. Yes, I am on my way home, so don't send any more Scuttlebutts out this way. I will try and get the news first hand for awhile, although when that isn't possible Scuttlebutt is ace high. It is a great little paper, and I have certainly enjoyed receiving it. Sincerely, Leo Palmer [L.R. Palmer C Ph M]
