Sept 23, 1945 Hi Dave, Here is a long over due letter. The scuttlebutt is really tops I enjoy getting very much. I want to thank you and every one who takes your time to send it to us fellows. Well now that the war is over I don't know when I'll be home. We would now be their but the war ended so we stopped off here at Enewetoch in the Marshalls. This ammo ship sure isn't like that carrier. We have had some darn close calls. We were at Leyte, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa on the invasions. We'll get our year in out here also.
