28 Sept. 1945 Dear Dave Just a short note to let you know I am about ready to start home to be discharged. All that is holding me here now is lack of transportation. and that is suppose to ease up soon. So Dave, you can stop sending the drip. Thanks a lot for sending it this long. It is the best way I know to keep up with the other fellows in the service. I will probably be in Washington soon after the first of the year. So will see you soon then. Your friend Charles Holden
