skeleton crew until the last ship has been transferred. The students are being shipped now. I don't know if it's good to stay or not. There certainly won't be much to do here on the line. All we do now is sleep & play cards. They've been using the planes to transfer men. Transportation is a problem down here. I've been in the heighth of my glory since I've been back from furlough. I've been playing with the post Dance Band. A 15 piece outfit. It's really a wonderful Band. I have to play over my head, but get along & am learning a lot. The extra cash isn't bad either. Well, Dave, I'll be looking forward to the S.B.s & will let you know when I move. I've always said they would have to close the field to get me out of here. Ha! Be Good Max [Cpl. Max D. See]
