20th Air Force Guam 10/17/45 Dear Dave Just a line to tell you that you may stop sending me the scuttlebutt. I'm crewing a war weary B29 back to the states. We expect to leave this Sunday sometime, so unless we run into some kind of trouble I'll be home by the time this reaches you. Be seeing you. S/SGT John B. Combs
