Sunday Afternoon Oct. 31, 1945 Luzon Dear Dave: Have moved again so though I'd write you a few more lines. My address is of course still the same. We moved from the 'Mudhole'--our rice paddy area up to within around 14 or so miles from Manila. This is the old area of the 38th Division, they are going home except for their low point men who were transferred to us. We are working every single day here to fix up the place, painting, digging, building, everything. Haven't been to Manila yet, hope to soon. Would have gone today; but got sick this morning, still feel a little woozy.
