Manicani, Philippines 18-Dec. 1945 Mr. Elder I am really sorry that I haven't written sooner it seems that for the length of time I have been overseas I have pretty well seen my share of bases. I have been here long enough now to have taken my rateing test and have been rated for which I am glad just so long as they don't decide I am essential which I really believe I am not. I have high hopes of starting home before too much longer but as yet nothing is definite. I am enclosing my new address and one of our Xmas cards. Wishing you and yours a Merry Xmas and a Very Happy New Year. Your Faithful Reader, Richard H. Pringle MoMM 3/c S.R.B., Navy 3864 BKs. 27B, c/o F.P.O. San Francisco, Calif.
