I get so far behind with my letters. Found out today our old first sergeant is very near so perhaps I'll get to see him soon. Didn't know what had become of him. Has some kind of an office job. Yes we have good drinking water, it has to be hauled for some distance but is usually still cold when we get it. Don't think the natives ever drink water, have to do something with all the grapes they raise over here. One very often sees one of these carts going along the road with a wine cask on it three times as big as the donkey pulling it. I'll try and get some pictures over here I guess they are okay as long as there is nothing of a military nature in them. Some of the fellows have film and expect I can get them to have extras developed. Don't know what kind of a request you have to make for a package, but I do need some thin paper for airmail letters and if there is any candy available especially some licorice I'd like that. Love Johnny
