Camp Cody N. M. Oct 14 1917 Dearest Folks at Home: Well this is Sunday Eve and I wonder what you are all doing tonite. I intended to attend services at the Y.M.C.A. tonite but the electric lights are out of order. We have some service here. Besides I had a lot of beans for supper last night and ask Fred what effect that musical fruit does to a fellow. We sure have been working tho not so very hard this last week. Four hours of stiff drill every morning except Saturday. And such drill as it was. Major Philpot had us playing leap-frog
