On Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, there was, of course no drill. And I spent most of my time doing "bunk fatigue". In other words, lying on my cot. Friday morning we drilled. Went down by the R.R. tracks and while we were taking physical exercises a couple of box cars got afire. They were pretty well burned when we saw them but we were able to save other cars from catching on fire. Also we formed a bucket line and prevented an elevated platform which was right by the blazing cars, from burning. The fire
