gave us a talk on Liberty bonds after that we were turned loose for the rest of the day. I took out a hundred more in bonds making me one hundred fifty in all. We pay $5.00 every month on each $50.00 bond.  And I am sending $5.00 to the bank to pay off my note. So that will leave me just 10.00 to go on. But I'll get along just as well and probably better for the next ten month after which my bonds will be paid for. I believe its the best thing I can do. For I'd spend my money any way and might just as well have something left when I get back home. And if I didn't invest in something like that my money would all be gone and nothing to show for it at the end of a year. In five months that note at the bank will be paid up then I'll have 15 bucks to go on I dont get as many letters now as I did up to Ginnell? Have had one (from Ia City too,) in the last five days. Im going to quit writing if they dont start coming pretty soon. I get about half as many as I write. Thats too one-sided to suit me. We didn't get up til 6.30 this am.
