Saving...
It doesn't seem a year since I left. No, I don't think I feel a year older. Much more capable, probably, and more interested in things. My feet are fine, thank you. I've gained some since the bicycling season stopped -- about a hundred and forty, probably, at the moment. I could use a size sixteen (thirty-six) slip or so very well. Preferably knit, so it won't have to be ironed. You might also stick in those cotton ones I sent home. They aren't half bad under the hospital dress and since we have such good laundry service, I don't have to wash and iron them. I had a letter from Jimmy Galbraith in France, and must write him. I got frightfully behind during my trip. Roberta got along well with her operation, she said in her letter I got yesterday. The cat has made me sleepy, so I'm going to have a nap. Jay, Johnnie, Lucy & I are going to a play tonight. My second here, and only two movies. Somehow I don't seem to get around to them. Love, Helen
