Saving...
go in to see her for a day or so. First I'm going in with Johnnie next week, though, when she comes off night duty. We'll probably be there Wednesday and Thursday and try to see the Lunts' play. I want to get a new uniform coat and some other clothes at the PX. Jay and I, and maybe Polly or Johnnie are planning to take our week's leave together along in May and go perhaps to southern Wales to bicycle or maybe northern Wales, or north Ireland, I don't know. No, we don't have a sewing machine. The library is going OK and Nellie is on her way back, I hope. Nellie lives in Ohio, U.S.A. I haven't read "Anything Can Happen". Yes, it would be nice to have it if you want to send it. No, don't worry about the slip at all. I can get one in the PX, and I'm not out yet anyway. One of my old ones went bad and I thought I'd suggest one to replace it. No, I don't have to pay for dental or medical work at all. Nice, isn't it? My food is about twelve dollars a month (all officers pay a mess bill) and my room is free. I hope the Army gives a course to teach us how to deal with folks at home who are readjusting us! That is, some course other than guerrilla warfare! When is Fran coming home, and what was the problem she spoke of? Love, Helen
