Cto. Iowa Nov. 27th 1900 Mrs Mary E Jolley Dear Friend I rec'd your welcome letter some time ago we were glad to hear from you, and that we were all well. We are well at present but are liable to kill ourselves eating that is if we can get it. We have lots of work to do and so we must eat our corn isnt near out yet. 20 acres or more we sold 20 [a?] to Will Cook for 10 an acre besides paying the rent and have enough corn for ourselves the corn is good, grain would have been good but it got wet in the stack and damaged some of it we had such heavy rains here did you have
