1898 Oto Iowa Jan. 10 Mrs. Jolly Dear Friend. I recieved your Letter a few days ago and was real glad to hear from you once more. we are all as well as usual. Uncle Jim is pretty well for him. This winter he hasent had but one sick spell that was in the fall when he took his first cold. Elmer has gone to lodge to night. No (illegible(illegible) has not been over (here?) much for a long time now when he read your Lettr he said I 'll bet she had to put that in abut me. Uncle Jim says if you will send your shoes out here he will mend
