Tell Bob Jackson to write and tell him I wish I had him here with me. You ought to see the places they have to wash clothes they build a cement tank in a little ditch and have boards bolted to it and they wash on it. done a weeks washing tonight after supper. tell Uncle Bill I would like to have him here some night after pay day. if it wouldent make him think of some of the Oelwein Saturday nights in its palmy days I'd miss my guess. I wonder how (he'd?) like army life. It is a dam sight better than the business he was in. My Bunkie and his another fellow are chewing the rag ciggal put a bar of wet soap on an envelope and they are calling each other
