away from home he says he won't help me pay the doctor bill but if i can only get it well i guess i can pay my own bill if i only get well i think if i get $2 a week i can surly save enough to pay the bill i guess i can go with out clothes until then excuse me for talking that way. you did write in going out there if you choose me for a mate i had just as leave live out there as here i think you could have found a girl that would have made you a better mate than i will but i suppose you kew best you neednt think because i write so often i am in a hurry to get married for i am not i want to get my ankle well and work out and pay any debts all when i marry a man i want to be a help instead of a hinder i think you did better than some fellows if you have got the cage before you get the bird not like Albert get the bird and have no cage for her Bentlys is building a barn it is not a very big one i have not seen Mary this summer i thought i would have time to go there since i came home but i did not have time i will go to see her one of these days but i will not tell her anything about you. nor i will not let her know that i know any thing about you i will pretend i dont know where you are your folks did not keep there girl only 3 weeks she had to go home to help her mother they paid her $2 a week but she liked the place and your mother liked her she is a good girl but she is small she is only 15 years old her name is Clara Potts I saw dave to town the other day but we dont speak to one another i got mad at him last winter the next Sunday after you was here that night dave came here to take me out a sleighing and i would not go because i expected company i did not tell him i expected company he asked me if i did not want a sleigh ride and i told him No and he went right off home as mad as an old setting hen and he had not been home more than an hour before a fellow came here with his sister and me and my brother went off a sleighing with them we went right past Bentlys i set in the front seat with the fellow and my brother in the back with the girl and we drove past Bentlys i drove the team and i drove real slow and dave saw us and it made him so
