August 9, 1946 [Corozal?], C.Z. Dear Mother, No typewriter yet, so you'll have to struggle through this kind of letter again. I've pretty well got myself settled now. There is a good place for Susie, we have a good maid named Alfreda, and the house and club aren't too bad. My staff assistant, Urcela Wald, of near Des Moines, doesn't strike me as too stimulating, but maybe she will improve with wear.
