over town, but wanted to say "good bye" to Gelmans & didn't want to barge in on them the last minute, so I stayed up till 7 - tried to phone but got the busy signal so figured they were there - walked over and somehow ever since the nights was took the machine over there, it has seemed a long, hard trip to me. Nobody home, so I trudged back and got into bed - I said to myself, well anyway if it wasn't a very nice day, it is over. At 10:30 the phone rang and it was a wire from Mr. Koser to ask if I'd found his billfold! Curses? and there I had mailed it to him Jan 9th. I sent him a wire - and in time got to sleep. Got up about 9 today - wrote him - walked over to Western Union & got his Houston address, then to the P.O. where Mr. Crawford said not to worry, that I had done all anyone could to get the thing to him and it was his own fault if he kept dashing around so fast it couldn't catch up with him - I sent this letter explaining just what I had done, by air mail and hope it reaches him - On the way over town I stopped at Allen's and Grace thinks there is material enough there for two very nice blouses - said she'd make one and we'd send it, then if it fitted, she'd make the other - Guess I told you I had looked over town for one and couldn't find anything with long sleeves & a proper collar. I had meant when at the P.O. to tend to our taxes but began to be "deviled" by the thought that I hadn't turned the fire
