afternoon - Gretchen came in for a hurried cup of tea - To date she has sold $140.00 worth of pansies - She can bring in about 30 baskets of them per trip - Both Brennenans and the Co-Op are selling them - a dollar per basket of 15 plants and basket. When the stores well them they keep 20 cents per basket. I got that National Geographic book of Service Insignia and it is most interesting - Your Red Cross ones are given too. I brought that big zipper bag down and hung it in your closet today (the one with all the furs in) - I vacuumed all of them and put in new moth crystals and am going to keep my fur coat here this year. It won't get so hot in your closet as in the attic - I'll leave your mink in storage again - Strubs have it. I hunted up another box of clothes to send in this Allied Nation Drive - I hope I'm not sending anything you'll want - I don't think I have. Mine are about all gone now - what write drives for the Greeks - the Russians etc etc. Grace Allen is coming over tomorrow to borrow your bathing suit - She says she is going to take off her hips and Forrest wants to take a picture of her "before" and "after". I offered to loan her your water wings too but she didn't need'em said the hips stuck out plenty by themselves. Betty borrowed the two Kodak pictures of the felt animals to send to her mother. Said the family wanted to see what sort of things George was making. She'll return them next week - Fran phoned tonight and asked about you and said to send you her love - as also did Grace Meyer Monday - I'll hope to hear from you again very soon for I'll be uneasy till I get you located again - With all My love Mother Thur. 8 a.m. Sunshine - temperature 38 - no wind so far - I'm dressed & the bed made - may wash the car if it warms up. I have sort of a desperate feeling that I want to write and write & write till I get contact with you again. So hurry and settle me. More love B.P.F.
