and she asked about you & sent love - The girls at the Ration Board always ask what I've heard from you since the Tue previous. Most of them have relations or boy friends overseas. Do you suppose Buster (Robin we raised) is still alive? Everytime I work in the garden the same fat, dark red robin tags me around and eats all the worms I uncover. It is so tame and looks as tho it knew me. I have the garden planted or staked out from the strawberry bed up to the gate - then a strip about 15 ft wide along the north edge is also done - after today's rain it will probably be a day or so before I can get out there in it again. Peas, radishes, lettuce, cress & onion sets are up. Apricots are set but its too early to tell about the crop. Got another rider today for your Red Cross insurance policy - it seems to be for accidents - Do be careful - for that is one bunch of money we don't want. Do you still want "Forever Amber"? I'll get it as soon as it is in print again, then can send it right away if you want it - am so anxious to know where you are sent and what your work is - Betty Wilson said "Aunt Elizabeth's" granddaughter, Betty Harris is marrying a Capt somewhere on the front lines. Her mother is disappointed because she wanted to give her a big home wedding. - I believe I'd be rather glad to be spared all the fuss - only I would want to know something about the family. Sleeping time so no more except all My love to You Mother Just had a nice phone visit with Mrs. Smith - She says Bereta Heatland is in Paris & Herb had a dinner with her. Mrs. S. said if possible she & her mother would come out some afternoon next week and bring some of Herb's letters. Just talked with Mrs. Bush - details later but will enclose Jack's address - also that of Prof B's artist friends whom they like you to call on if possible.
