with you soon - not that my part of it is worth much, but you'll likely feel better when you know everything here is jogging along in its usual rut. Had 3 boy blue morning glories open in the dining room window all day. They are lovely. Did you enjoy seeing Versailles again or would you rather remember it as you saw it before? All sorts of rumors afloat today about Hitler - I can't see that it matters a whole lot whether he is alive or dead. I laughed when I read the name "Nellie Vickbury" in your letter (she missed the clue!) - That was the name you always took when you draped an old curtain over your head and were a bride - remember? I'll bet Min does. I hope you are getting some Kodak pictures. If you feel you can't tell me exactly where you are located, maybe you could tell Herb and he could write his mother - Did a lot of work at the Ration Board yesterday issued 84 - B gasoline books from 11 to 5. It was raining by the time I left there - Shopped at the Co-Op and picked up June's grocery order and took it to her on my way home - got 10 tuberose bulbs but couldn't get out to plant them today. Eight o'clock and I am going to see if I can get the new Army - Navy - Red Cross & Industry broadcast "The Road Ahead" which begins tonight - Clifton Fadinian has charge and this first program is to come from Walter Reed Hospital. Good night & Much love Mother Three a.m. Still raining - It would be nice to have a Brittany 6 or 8 cup tea pot - "squaty" so I'd dare carry it in on the tea table - also a medium sized (say a pint and a half) pitcher for my cambric tea hot water - just ideas in case you do want to get more of our set. Love B.P.F.
