workroom so I won't have to put my feet on the table when I read or sew. I wrote Bertha and sent her the little round wooden pin from you - I also sent Betty Jean the table set for a wedding present - (Its the set Betty gave me to work as it had a red woven border and she couldn't use it in her rose dining room - She said I wouldn't want it in my blue room but could give it away - While she'd never put that much work in anything she gave away) Yesterday June sent up egg whites & sugar and I made a chocolate angel food - not very successful but I kept 1/4 and she came up towards night and took the 3/4. They have a Prof. Chuck knew out West staying there this summer. Towards night I went out and put a pail of water in the tub of Harshbarger fertilizer, then dipped out the result and put it around all sunflowers - tomatoes - squash - cux, etc. Was tying up the Holyhocks on the south side of the house when Mrs Geo Kosen and her mother came over for a tour of yard & garden - I gave them a big bouquet of Sweetpeas and a few bulbs of garlic - nice combination! Eric came up along towards evening for six kernels of seed corn - Something is digging his up as soon as it sprouts - I must have rabbits with queer tastes - they haven't touched the beets or peas this year but are keeping the bachelor buttons & Baby's Breath eaten off close. I must get at my reading - have 2 magazines belonging to G. Allen and 5 books belonging to June (3 of them mysteries) Love to you Mother That kind of a slipper is "Daniel Green"
