[Dec 28, 1945] 7:30 Thursday Night Dear Helen - Guess where I am? That's right. This has been a long still day - I miss you - sort of feel as tho' I'd just mark time - get my weight down and be ready to really live again when you get back. Eric parked by the A&P he going on foot to his office - Betty in to do her week's shopping and I to Mr. Kent's first to leave the film & picture to be copied - told him to mail them to me so I won't have to go in again so soon - Went around and picked up my enlarged ring (1.50) and the repaired spoon (2.50) - they both look like new - Shiny (Sp). Stopped at the Co-Op but the meat man was home sick so I'll see him later - came home and
