cup of crackers & milk (your breakfast milk) a couple cookies and some of Grace's grapes - wandered around the house a bit and finally "lit" on the library davenport with the Post. Heard the whistle and thought it was 5 o'clock and it was one. Grace Allen phoned they think you are quite a gal! Said they felt terribly indebted to you for all the nice things you had done for them. I wandered around some more - put up the new shower curtain you got and wondered why I hadn't done it sooner - it was no job at all and looks lovely. Tried to mend the "peppermint" nightdress before I put it down the chute but got one side the sleeve hitched to the side of the gown so ripped it out and decided it was too far gone to do more than cut a pattern from. No mend. Didn't have a grate fire - but probably will tomorrow as I
