Plumb Cake.
Mix 3/4 lb of Flour with 1/2 lb of Butter. 4 oz Sugar 3 or 4 Eggs, a glass of Raisin wine, beat it well and bake it in a quick oven. Add 1/2 an ounce of Carraway seeds if you like.

Rout Drop Cakes
Mix 2 lb of Flour,1 lb of Butter, 1 lb of Sugar, 1 lb of Currants clean & dry, then whisk a stiff Paste with 2 Eggs, a large spoonful of Orange Flower Water. ditto Rose water, Ditto sweet wine or Brandy, drop on a tin well greased, a very short time bakes them.
