This Pudding I have Made for 29 years. Xmas 1878. 1/2 lbs of Flour 1 1/2 lb of Bread Crumbs. 2 lbs of Beef Suet. 2 lbs of best Plums. 1 lb of Sultana ditto allow 1 lb for waste 2 lbs of Currants 1 lb Mixed peel 8 oz of powdered loaf sugar 2 Tea spoonfuls of salt 2 Tea spoonfuls of ground Ginger & a little Nutmeg 1 Pint of Milk 8 Eggs, to be well beaten up 2 Warm glasses of Brandy. This receipt is a double quantity. Susan Gilbert. December 11th 1878. This receipt will make my 3 largest shapes and have over. Xmas 1879. 1880. 1181.
