quantity of spice of any kind citron or lemon if desired a teaspoonful of carbonate of soda mixed in a cupfull of warm milk beat all well for ten minutes, & put into the oven immediately two or three eggs well beaten are a great improvement. "College Pudding" Equal quantities of Suet, Brown sugar, Bread crumbs, Currants, a little citron & a very small quantity of salt if 1/4 lb of each ingredient is used it will require 4 hours boiling & four eggs well beaten.
