No. 8 Xmas number! En compagne. 4-12-42. My Dear Helen, Here I am again. I want to thank you for the X'mas present you were so kind to send me. I received it three days ago sound... & safe. My friends from London have just asked me if I had news from you last week. We shan't forget you at X'mas. I wish I could say a few words to you on the Wireless. It isn't easy to have one's turn & I think it's better to give a chance to mothers & sweethearts to speak with their dear ones who are absent. How are you dear. [illegible] to hear from you soon. Your letter do me the world of good. I am delighted to read you every time & I read your letters when I feel a bit homesick! I just heard from my younger sister Mary the only one of my sister who wasn't married. She writes: [rest of this paragraph in French].
