Hazelnut Cookies - Mrs Sausmann 1/4 lb hazelnuts ground with fine chopper 1/4 lb butter 5 ounces (1 1/4 cup) flour 1/4 lb (1/2 cup) sugar 2 egg yolks Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks- beat and add nuts and flour. Roll out 1/4 inch thick & cut. Bake light brown in 325º oven. Ice when hot with conf. sugar & boiling water icing Nut Goodies - Mrs. Clark 3/4 c. sugar 2 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 1/2 tsp baking powder 3 egg yolks Mix all together until crumbly. Pack into greased pan and spread following on top 3 egg whites - well beaten 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. nuts Cook in a slow oven 300º to 325º for 30 mins. Cut in 2 inch squares Remove when cool.
