Catherine Snyder's Brownies 4 eggs 2 cups sugar 1 cup flour 2/3 cup shortening (butter 4 oz unsweetened chocolate 1/2 tsp salt. 2 tsp vanilla 1 cup chopped pecans Melt butter and chocolate over hot water. Let Cool Beat eggs & sugar until light Sift flour & salt Add cooled choc. mixture to eggs etc Mix in flour and vanilla Add nuts Bake in 2 greased 8 x 8 pans at 300º for about 1/2 hour Cut while warm
