July 2, 1945 Trinidad Dear Dad and Mom: Will write before I go to work this afternoon, don't feel sleepy tho I should for by the time I showered and cleaned up this morning it was two oclock and I got up at six thirty. Had to go on sick call this morning at seven for I wanted a dental appointment. Got a tooth filled which has gone a long time and was beginning to bother me. Never had such a rough dentist work on me in my life but he sure got done in a hurry. Made up my laundry to go out and its sure a whopper. They'll earn their fifty cents this week for sure. It's fifty cents american money or sixty cents british. I'm getting used to the shilling, flarans sixpence etc. now but they are a nuisance. I'll look for one of those trays you mentioned next time I got to town, seems like they would have something like that. Maybe some nice things, hope so for I couldn't find any in Italy. The cameos are quite ordinary I'm afraid and over there they had no nice settings, no silver or gold available. I bought one just before I left Naples for you which I think is quite nice. Will
