July 5, 1945 Trinidad Dear Dad & Mom: Got two letters from you yesterday one with Milano & Bob's inclosed so it was really four. I have flown over the field where Milan is now located and dont envy him his location any. Would like to have followed Bob tho he's certainly seen the country. Would like to see Scotland more than any of the other places he's been. The fourth passed uneventfully for me just like any other day. Rained four or five times and was as warm as usual. Dont expect there was a whole lot doing at home either. Just turned a pair of my shoes in for repair. I'd lost a heel and the soles were pretty thin. This weather down here will be hard on shoes for ones feet are wet so much of the time. The natives mostly wear some kind of sandals usually wooden soled like shower clogs. Yes I'm at the field where Dale Johnson was, we're not allowed to mention it in our letters by name for some reason. Everyone seems
