to think his present location is the finest base in this area, so he's lucky. We didnt hear Truman's speech over the radio was it good. Dont expect he's such a fine speaker as Roosevelt was, thats one thing he could really do well. I'm getting my mail okay on the made over envelope addresses. Havent had one with squadron E on it yet when they come thru I should get better service for it will come directly to my squadron and now I have to call at the old outfit for it. Sure glad to hear Glen Grimes is getting leave he's been overseas a long time and Bob said when he saw him he was a little unhappy about not getting promoted. It seems sometimes no matter how good a fellow is or how hard he works there just isnt any opening for advancement. Wonder if he wont be eligible for a discharge on points.
