Read a story yesterday "Not Too Narrow Not Too Deep" about a bunch of prisoners escaping from a prison colony down in this section and how they landed at Port of Spain, Tobago and other local names were mentioned. I see its nearly chow time. We have one guy that's always first in line. He starts out about twenty minutes ahead of everyone else so he can be the first one. He's an odd duck but works hard at whatever job he is assigned to. Think he will get out of the army soon for he is over age. Around our barracks is a cement gutter which has a little water in it. Just noticed it is alive with polywogs. Dont know whether they'll make frogs or the water dry up first but with the rains so regular I think we'll some some new voices in our nocturnal serenade. I'm very sorry to hear of Harry Humphreys death, he was one of my old friends. Think he was a good progressive citizen, he was always on committees, fair board etc. Was he serving as supervisor at present. I cant seem to keep track of those things. Will close & get in chow line. Love Johnny
