There are several little scooter bikes running around the base here that have been made from small gas engines and frames of gas pipe etc. Some of them are quite ingenious show some careful planning and workmanship. They have some fine shop equipment here making it possible to turn out most anything. According to reports this project is moving along well and according to schedule. It is quite an enormous thing, lots of ships serviced here for most all maintenance is done here. One of my friends is getting out of the army to go home and run the farm. His father has four hundred acres someplace in Kansas and has to have an operation of some sort leaving no one to farm it. Hope it goes thru okay for him he's a good kid and a hard worker. Guess I have nothing more for today -- Love Johnny
