Hope not too much damage was done, these darn airplanes are unpredictable things. Got your letter of the twenty fifth this morning they came thru regularly in three days. Dad & John Hershinger must have some good visits, do they get lots of important matters settled or havent they been called on yet to state their solutions & policys in regard to pertinant topics of the day. Nice to have such good neighbors tho. Sure sorry the refrigerator is playing out, may gosh how old is it, fifteen years at least isnt it? What can be done about getting a new one are there any available? One would be lost without our ice box in this day & age. The native boy I was talking to is several shades darker than any spaniard I ever saw. The indians are very dark but their features are sharp & different than a negroes. They all speak english as the englishmen do and are a little hard to understand. Just came from supper, a good meal tonight, roast pork, mashed potatoes, string beans (an army favorite, I think if those I've eaten were laid end to end they'd reach from here, home. Also had peaches for desert, canned ones. Washed some shorts this afternoon enough to last till the laundry gets back. We're to have a big inspection day after tomorrow so they'll have to be dry by then for I cant have them hanging out. Love -- Johnny
