Saving...
in for war for sure now, and I know from what I saw in Europe that it is no little thing we face. This will be no chase after Villa. The University, before I left, was buzzing with plans to turn its resources and powers to service of the government. If soldiers are wanted we shall have at least a regiment to offer. But there is other work of organization and support of armies that our folks will be even more help at. I have no idea what my little part will be, but of course, when war comes I shall give up everything else to serve in the way that I can do most. I should write more, but this hotel is conserving its paper supply and I can't find more in the writing rooms. Bushels of love, Conger.
